The Dodowa Health Research Centre in collaboration with the National TB Control Programme as well as the London School of Hygeine and Tropical Medicine organized a 5-day training from 31st October to 4th November 2016 for Field Assistants and Field Supervisors at the Dodowa Health Research Centre to undertake a one month survey.
This is a Nationwide health facility based survey to find out the costs that people face when they are treated for TB as well as the costs faced while seeking health care before the diagnosis of TB.
Field Assistants were selected from across all the 10 regions in the country such that language will not be a barrier during the field work. During this period, trainees are taken through the disease TB in general, the questionnaire for data collection and effective ways to conduct interview.
This study will assist in getting accurate information for recommendations that can be used to formulate policies for a better health care in Ghana.
