Veronica E. A Apetorgbor has obtained State Registered Nursing Certificate, Bachelor of Arts in Nursing and currently holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Vrije University, Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam- The Netherlands. Mrs Apetorgbor has a lot of experience in the field of Public Health, Community based Health Planning Service (CHPS) Delivery, Curative and Preventive Care as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of Health related policies. She has expertise in designing and implementing capacity building training programs in health related policies. Mrs Apetorgbor also contributed significantly in the development of training manuals for the Policy Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) Division of the Ghana Health Service She has also worked as Program Officer and coordinated the Jhpiego STAR CHPS Project funded by the Jubilee Partners which aimed at reducing malaria burden through the CHPS strategy in the six coastal districts in the Western Region of Ghana. She was the National Coordinator for the Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) program and Gender in the Ghana Health Service, PPME Division. Mrs. Apetorgbor also took part in the Jhpiego task analysis research. Mrs. Apetorgbor has in many occasions carried out rapid assessments, baseline survey and verification of the status of CHPS implementation in Ghana. Her Research & Publication work are in Community based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) and Community Health Worker Program.
