Apostle Richard Afedi Nagai is an Epidemiologist and Biostatistician by Profession and an Apostle by Calling.
He holds Master of Science degree in Medicine in the field of Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa; Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Economics from GIMPA; Higher National Diploma in Statistics from Accra Polytechnic; Diploma in Business Economics and Commerce and Diploma in Accounting from the British College of Professional Management, UK.

He has worked with the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service since 2004 as Regional Research Coordinator. He also worked with the District Health Insurance Management Team (DHIMT), Shai-Osudoku District, as Health Insurance Data Manager for the setting up and implementation of a District-wide Mutual Health Insurance Scheme as a pilot study. His research and teaching interests are healthcare financing, epidemiological research, data and records management, field research methods and maternal and child health. He has several publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He has over the years gained extensive experience in public health and social science research. He is currently a Research Scientist with the Dodowa Health Research Centre of the Ghana Health Service.
