On June 7, 2023....The Dodowa Health Research Centre received students from New York University-Abu Dhabi campus.

The purpose of the visit was to observe data collection or community engagement activities of the Health and demographic surveillance system (HDSS) and other studies currently going on in the center.

Dr. Elizabeth Awini made a presentation about the HDSS to the students and they were further led to observe HDSS field data collection in two communities in the surveillance area ('Salem' and 'Numersi' ). They were led to the Field by Emmanuel Darkwa and Kenneth Nartey.

The students also spent some time at the Shai Osudoku District Hospital.
